When you purchase a Treeternity Memorial Tree package:
On your planting day you and your loved ones will receive your tree to plant and we will show you to your chosen space in our memorial forest park. The memorial stone will be in place and the area will be ready for you to plant your tree. We give you the run down and will leave you to plant the tree and give the tree it’s first water. There is a beautiful gazebo on location for you to enjoy. We maintain the park and water the trees regularly.
A tree planting ceremony is a lovely alternative to a funeral in Saskatoon. You are welcome to invite a minister to come out and say a few words, some like to write a message and attach it with a ribbon to the tree, recite a poem or play a favorite piece of music. The ceremony is up to you, we want to make it as fitting as possible to your loved one.
Choose a tree type
You will have a choice of 4 tree types from which you will choose one. Oak, Maple, Linden or a Thunderchild flowering crab apple tree. Click here for the different trees we offer.
2. Memorial Stones
You will receive a standard Memorial Stone which will be placed flat in the ground in front of the tree. You will choose your own personal message to be inscribed.
Click here to go to our Memorial Stones page with sample inscriptions.
3. Choose where in the park you want to plant your tree
When you purchase a memorial you will choose where you would like to plant your tree from the available 12’x12’ spaces. Click here to visit our parcel map page. This shows you how the park is divided up and how you choose your tree’s location.
4. Certified Keepsake Certificate
You will receive a certified certificate including GPS coordinates of your tree location.
Cost:
The Treeternity Memorial Package purchase price is $1,200 plus taxes. This is a one time cost for eternity. The price includes one available 12’x12’ parcel in the location of your choice, a young tree (approximately 5 years old) from the 4 available choices, a customized memorial stone with your own personal message inscribed on it and a keepsake certificate with GPS coordinates. The price is the same regardless what type of tree you choose.
Additional memorial stones may be purchased and added to each tree parcel now or in the future. This is what we call a family tree.
Memorial Stones take 4-6 weeks to be made, so be sure to order in advance so that yours arrives prior to your preferred planting day. Spring is the best time to plant a tree as it allows more time for the tree to root down and establish itself before winter, however we will plant memorial trees throughout the season as the weather allows.
This land will remain a natural green space for eternity. We care for Treeternity Memorial Forest as though it is our backyard and ensure the trees are always watered. Treeternity has an agreement with the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation to donate the land to wildlife conservation in the future so you can be sure that this land will never be sold.
In Lieu of Flowers
We are happy to coordinate a special gift for your loss in the form of a Treeternity Memorial tree and plaque. Each memorial allows your loved one to give back to our planet through the circle of life.
